About the Role:
This role supports the technical asset management of owned and managed aircraft across the lease lifecycle, with particular focus on portfolio monitoring, aircraft records, technical data, technical specifications, inspection activity, maintenance events and maintenance reserve claim support.
The role requires strong attention to detail, good commercial aircraft technical awareness, and the ability to work effectively with lessees, service providers, MROs, OEMs, investors and internal stakeholders to support accurate technical oversight and protect asset value.
The role is based within the Technical Asset Management team and reports to the Senior Vice President Technical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor aircraft portfolios, including aircraft operational status, utilisation, AOG events, unscheduled groundings and component movements.
- Support the onboarding and upkeep of aircraft technical data, records and configuration information within company systems.
- Assist with the preparation, review, management and distribution of aircraft technical specifications.
- Support the planning, facilitation and oversight of fleet annual inspection activity, including records review, physical inspection coordination, finding tracking and system updates.
- Review technical records and maintenance status information to identify potential airworthiness, configuration, lease compliance or asset value concerns.
- Assist with the technical evaluation of maintenance reserve claims for airframe, engine, APU and landing gear events.
- Support the review of maintenance records, workscopes, release documentation, traceability, invoices and lease requirements as part of maintenance event and claim reviews.
- Assist with technical input to LOIs, lease agreements, amendments, deliveries, redeliveries, novations, repossessions, sales and managed asset requirements.
- Handle technical queries from lessees, service providers and internal departments, escalating issues as required.
- Prepare internal reports and updates on portfolio technical status, inspections, maintenance events, claims and open technical issues.
- Facilitate clear communication of fleet activity within the Technical department
- Support Technical department process improvement, including development of reports, templates, systems and procedures.
- Provide administration and coordination support for live technical projects as directed by the Senior Vice President Technical.
- Perform other appropriate technical support duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, aircraft maintenance licence, technical aviation qualification or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in commercial aircraft technical records, airline technical services, CAMO, MRO, leasing or aircraft asset management environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial aircraft technical records, continuing airworthiness documentation, maintenance programmes and major component records.
- Experience in aircraft leasing, airline technical services, CAMO, MRO, technical records, asset management or a similar aviation technical environment.
- Understanding of aircraft technical specifications, utilisation data, component records and maintenance status information.
- Awareness of lease-related technical obligations, maintenance reserves, return conditions and titled component control.
- Ability to review and interpret maintenance records, workscopes, shop visit reports, LLP status, AD/SB status, release certificates and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and willingness to follow structured processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, aircraft and priorities efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High standard of IT capability, including use of technical databases, document management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
