About the Role:
This role is responsible for the technical asset management of owned and managed aircraft across the lease lifecycle, with particular focus on portfolio technical oversight, aircraft records, configuration control, technical specifications, inspections, maintenance events and maintenance reserve claims.
The role requires strong commercial aircraft technical knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively with lessees, service providers, MROs, OEMs, investors and internal stakeholders to protect asset value and support Aergo’s contractual and commercial objectives.
The role is based within the Technical Asset Management team and reports to the Senior Vice President Technical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor aircraft portfolios, including aircraft operational status, utilisation, AOG events, unscheduled groundings and component movements.
- Manage aircraft technical data, records and configuration information within company systems, ensuring technical specifications and asset records are accurate and current.
- Oversee aircraft onboarding activities, including technical data setup, records validation, system updates and internal technical specification review.
- Plan and manage Mid-Lease Inspection activity, including records review, physical inspection coordination, service provider oversight, finding closure and system updates
- Review technical records and maintenance status information to identify airworthiness, configuration, lease compliance or asset value concerns.
- Support the review of maintenance reserve claims for airframe, engine, APU and landing gear events, including technical records, workscopes, release documentation, traceability, invoices and lease requirements.
- Review proposed maintenance workscopes and shop visit plans, escalating technical, contractual or commercial risks as required.
- Provide technical input to LOIs, lease agreements, amendments, deliveries, redeliveries, novations, repossessions, sales and managed asset requirements.
- Act as a technical point of contact for lessees, service providers, MROs, OEMs, investors and internal departments.
- Prepare clear internal reports and updates on portfolio technical status, inspection activity, maintenance events, claims and open technical issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Technical department processes, procedures, templates, reporting tools and data quality.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of commercial aircraft technical records, continuing airworthiness documentation, maintenance programmes and major component records.
- A degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, aircraft maintenance licence, technical aviation qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
- Significant experience in commercial aircraft technical asset management, aircraft leasing, airline technical services, CAMO, MRO, technical records, asset management or a similar aviation technical environment.
- Good understanding of lease-related technical obligations, maintenance reserves, return conditions and titled component control.
- Ability to review and interpret maintenance records, workscopes, shop visit reports, LLP status, AD/SB status, release certificates and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and professional judgement.
- Ability to manage multiple aircraft, projects and competing priorities efficiently
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High standard of IT capability, including use of technical databases, document management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
